Cigars - Page 606

I had an '11 HU2 the day you posted that and they are starting to come around as well, but '10s are better for sure. Not sure why they don't seem to do much for you to be honest, I think it's a great smoke.
May burn an '11 D4 with some Henny later. Or should I grab something else?

Ended up burning that D4 and thought it wasn't bad. Much better than I remember them being about 5 months ago. Perhaps there's a spot left for Partagas in my rotation after all...

They will only get better. It's hard when you smoke freshies then have an aged smoke then go back again, night and day.

Oh, sure, but I think I told you that I was ready to give up on Partagas - just wasn't really doing much for me. I was giving the brand a last try with this box and to be honest was expecting the same ol'. Will have to smoke another one some other time, but it has promise...

I'm pretty surprised neither are in CA's Top 10 this year. For shame!

One of my favourite cigars, good to know the recent production is still the same. Thanks for sharing.

Stopped by the La Casa Habano in Peurto Vallerta. Spent several hours there and smoked with the owner Gerry. Crazy guy. Extremely passionate about cigars. He was adamant that cigars from online CC websites were at best second quality. He told me about a recent arrest of the guy that was in charge of the Partagas factory for smuggling cigars. His story checked out:

I know some on here spend a lot of money getting CC's. Thought I would pass it along FWIW.

On to the cigars-

Had a Vegas Robaina Famoso. I also had a Bolivar Inmensas which apparently are no longer can be found anywhere. He had over 70 boxes of them at his store. He bought everyone he could find. I must admit it was a great smoke. Last night had a PSD4 which was fantastic. I definitely see why people like them. Great smoke. Still have some PSD4's, PSD2's, HU50 and a Vegas Robaina. My humidor is looking good. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

New favorite for the money is Warlock. Montecristo makes it (a brand I typically dislike), but this stogie is a tasty one.
