2010 production is supposed to be superior to subsequent releases, have heard rumors of plugged sticks (how does this happen on a 52 rg?) and several other duds...I'd recommend trying one the profile is such they taste good young and only continue down the same path with age maturing with a little more of the characteristic bhk profile, so in other words they don't change dramatically from what I hear (i haven't cracked my '10 box). Just let them rest 30+ days from transit. It's a shame about coronas.

Looking for nice short ~20-30 minute CC... Wisconsin winters suck.

Upmann Half Corona...done.

Agree on coronas being axed. I don't think it's infanticide if it's helping you to get a feel for the flavor profile.

I.e. I placed a preorder for 2 boxes of Half Coronas 9/4, with no indication of lead time. Got an email yesterday that my boxes had shipped. Not keen on having standing orders w/ Hamburg (a friend had a standing order for RA Superiores that took a year + the next batch of production) but for for relatively small-ticket items like 1/2's, no big deal.

They're probably taking orders for shit they don't have fuck that.

SF Half Corona Master Case group buy split? In.

J, how good are they? How would you compare them to RASCC, San Cristobal Principe, ERdM Demi Tase, etc. Smoke time, flavour, and so on. There are a lot of good short smokes in this price range...

I'm down for only two what about all the other boxes lol.

Ok maybe I take 4 boxes for group buy price.

I rarely smoke through fresh boxes fast...exceptions being recent production JL#1's and PSD4.

The Half Corona, as much as I don't want to encourage the stubby smoke trend, is absolutely delicious if you want a 25-30 minute smoke. I have gone through almost two boxes in a couple months. Very leathery, rich, toasted tobacco. Tastes more complex than the HU PC, and definitely has more nuance. The prices I've seen are $120-140 a box. The only problem (and problem with a GB) is that the minute they appear in stock anywhere they are GONE. That, and the problem that these are short and don't last longer.

I have never had any El Principes that 'wow' me, I don't really care for the Hoyo Petit Robusto, I generally stick to Bolivar CJ's, Monte 5, and RASSC for short smokes. And these half coronas, when I can get my hands on some.

Guys you seem to smoke a lot. Well, way, way more than I do, thus I'd like to ask:"What is your 5-6 most favorite Cuban Cigars?". No esoteric stuff, just go-to smokes that never fail you.
My list:
1. Partagas Lusitania
2. Romeo & J Churchill or Shot Church.
3. Partagas 898
4. Montecrsito N2
5. Monte N4
