Only one I like is the 2007 Hoyo Regalos. Partagas SD Especial was decent fresh, but I don't feel like paying $15 for a Partagas unless it's a nice Lusitania or an aged PSD4. People seem to love the 08 Monte Sublime, I have always thought it sucked.

There's just this maduro character I feel takes away from a normal wrapper and every EL I've had has it.

I feel that way about the RA Extras EL. Sold off the 3 boxes I got. All I could taste was generic sweet maduro.

Hmm, you know what, that's what I thought of when I was smoking a RR the other day. They are significantly better now than fresh off the boat, but I couldn't help but think that I was smoking a Dominican or something.

Pulled out a RR to smoke this afternoon. Had a gifted Illusione 88 Candela, wasn't terrible. (Blasphemy, inorite?)

RE: Perdomo Lot 23, my experience with this robusto is after a dry start it moves to a sweet note, then to a heady roasted coffee taste. It gives you some more chocolate/nutty notes, but never quite rises above that. It finishes nicely. By no means was I unhappy with it, and Edinatlanta, I'll be sure to error on the side of prudence and send you a few.

Thoughts on the Partagas Serie D Especial Limited?

They were great when they were first out. EL wrapper taste wasn't as dominant as it is in some EL's. Haven't had any for a while though.
