Cigars - Page 548

Had a nasty f*cking virus most of the week, so my first cigar since last Saturday is a My Father Le Bijou robusto. Good a way as any to break a drought.

Smoked a choix supreme, 09 esplendido and 97 lancero.

Took some photos with my buddy's 4s at night and fuck me they're way better than my 4 pics.

Really really nice. Might be a little too sweet. Draw was incredibly tight. I had to cut off a bit more and I think I took too much off. At least I don't feel like my cheeks are about to rip open.

Smoked an AVO Robusto this evening

5x50, about a 30 minute smoke, mild and smooth. Contruction was fantastic as you'd expect from a Davidoff brand, never had to relight, draw and burn were fantastic save for the middle of the smoke. Probably not enough flavor/body for some, but very smooth with cream and leather throughout. 6 dollar smoke, will def try again. Great for a light after dinner smoke, or with coffee in the morning.

Had a Montecristo Platinum Vintage 1999 tonight with a martini on the back porch. It's been hanging around in the humidor for years (I think I got it as part of a variety pack) and I was very pleased with it. I hadn't been super enthused about it, which is why it hung around for so long, but I could barely put it down. The construction was very nice, as I'd expected, and the flavor was great. It was much fuller flavored than I'd expected and had a fairly consistent burn, though I could have done with an easier draw. I actually wish I had a few more. I'm hoping the other cigars from that little variety pack are as enjoyable.

Errr.....not to sound like a putz, but how does an american get cohibas in the us? Anyone have any sterling recomendations? PM if needed. I realize its. A crapshoot to get past customs, but I was wondering if anyone had any reputable sites they used.
