Trying to smoke a lot of the stuff that's been sitting in my humidor forever so that I can order a few boxes of my favorites. The main problem I've been having is that so many sticks were damaged in some way or another from before I had a good humidor (used to have a jar style that tended to bang up the cigars pretty badly). At least I'm starting to make a noticeable dent.

Only 24 more hours until I'm in Montreal! Thinking Montecristo #2 and some sort of Cohiba.

I hope you brought your credit card.

no kidding.. Canada sure charge an arm and leg for their cigars.

Fuente makes some good shit, and the Hemingway lines are great. Most Fuente lines are overpriced, though. Some extremely so. OpusX comes to mind.

true this.. was in Toronto last fall and bought a few MC 2 for the stay, and IIRC, they were in the $30/per area. Did not like them at all, but I suspect it's because they were young and straight from the humidor.. oh, and the guy had the RH in that f*cking box close to 75%

That Padron 3000 is growing on me as a good cigar at a really good price.

You hit Cigar Box in T-Town for those or is the handle a ruse?

You'll get no argument from me on that front. I've always found the Chateau / Double Chateau to be pretty good values, and even the shorter Hemingway cigars aren't bad. Never could figure out the OpusX deal. Maybe some people just like to spend a lot of money on cigars.

Evidently OpusX is a big moneymaker for Fuente. I'd submit that its primary customer is a well-moneyed but relatively ignorant smoker who just buys the most expensive thing he can find. Don't get me wrong; OpusXs are pretty solid smokes all around, and they're arguably the best cigars Fuente makes. But they're not correctly priced relative to their quality. For OpusX money, you could just buy some superior Cubans. I'd gladly drop OpusX money on some Siglo VIs any day of the week.

Not CC ballin', but love these little fuckers for the BBQ quickness. Check waydn for cocktail info. Blasting first VH album and hearkening back.

Capping off another fine day of mid 90s and oppressive humidity with a My Father Le Bijou. The rain that came earlier has cooled things off a bit and it's actually pleasant out here.

Found the first lighter I ever had (and lost), a Xikar Executive, in my car yesterday. Hoping to find my palio and first Xtend too, but not too optimistic.

Do any of the posters on here have a Siglo VI that they would be willing to sell to me at a reasonable price? I still have yet to try it and would really love to do so.
