Gentlemen: what is the most baller delicious smoke that I can get my hands on to celebrate the upcoming birth of my child? I do have a couple Edmundo Dantes 109 Mexico RE 2007 sitting in my humidor.

Those ED 109s are pretty damn good. Try finding a Cohiba Gran Reserva if you really wanna ball like Jet though. Congrats on the upcoming birth of your son!

Is there a place where I can read a quick guide on cigar storage and accessories? I've smoked maybe 5-6 cigars, I've enjoyed them but don't really know where to start.

What do you want to know? We've got a decent amount of experience & knowledge around here and can fill you in on whatever you need to know. Wanna know about what to get for a humidor? Got that.

right now Cohiba BHK 52s are balla and delicious at the same time. it's a quicker smoke than the ED, obviously, so you can get back to your new parental duties sooner.

follow this advice and ask here. i don't know a good starter humidor other than savoy seems to be popular, but the humidity beads and hygrometer should be considered a must.

Say I buy the humidor you posted, what do I do in terms of maintenance to keep the cigars the right humidity and temperature? I'm quite confused on all the gels/foams etc I would need to use.

Most baller, eh Paul? If you can get your hands on a Tat Frank or a Tatuaje Black Label Corona Gorda Jar release, I would consider one of those two on par with the aforementioned BHK 52 and ED 109. The Gran Reserva is ballerific as well. I saw some Cohiba Lancero Palm Trees on another cigar site the other day, which are apparently diplomatic cigars not to be released to the general public. Those could be excellent as well.

temperature needs to be room temp. sweet spot is 60-70F. Anything over 70F and things could get messy.

humidity is controlled by the beads. with beads in particular, you spray them with distilled water until the are moist and it controls the humidity. if the air is drier, the beads release water and vice versa. it's simple and cheap. i spritz the beads when needed and it's not often. my desktop humidor requires it maybe once a month and my wine fridge turned humidor every 2-3 months.
