Cigars - Page 425

I'm hitting the local cigar lounge again in a next few days. Is there anything interesting and spicy, preferrably maduro/oscuro around €10 price range, which you would recommend in a heartbeat?

Speaking of CAO, I had a La Traviata last night. Hadn't had one in over a month, and was reminded what a fine cigar this is for the price.

I went through the same shit after the holidays, had way too much food, beer and smokes. had to lay off the smokes for like two weeks.

When I want a spicy smoke I usually grab a Rockey Patel, Patel Brothers or a Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic (aka Don Pepin Black Label).

Just put in my order for the Rimowa Travel Humidor: (one of) my birthday gift(s) to myself.

awesome ...have a great birthday man. I smoke the tat frank last night and it was . I'm having an Anejo 46 right now with some Noah's Mill bourbon. Still cold outside, but I have a pair of heaters in my backyard.

Thanks; the day I leave the teens isn't for another couple weeks though (the 12th), so I want to make sure I get everything I want by then (iPhone 4 hopefully as well). Got some nice sticks lined up for my birthday... just have to survive all these exams until then lol.

Thinking about lighting up a Los Blancos Nine Lancero, as I've had a couple sitting in my humidor for a couple months. I was on a big lancero kick over the summer (if anyone kept track, this was after my mild cigar phase), and I got a decent number of lanceros in a MAW over on the fishy forum... Any thoughts on the Los Blancos Nine?

I've only had the robusto, but it was a very nice medium - full smoke. Toasty tasting primarily.

The LBN lancero has really nice rich flavors. I don't remember how much I paid for it, but it wasn't too pricey. You will probably enjoy that cigar. Yeah I'm not a huge fan of thick cigars. I'm normally a corona/robusto guy. EDIT : Ah Ama, to me the lancero was pretty full-bodied.

Possible, I find lanceros to be pretty potent cigars often times. I've never had a Los Blancos lancero though.

Found some old Pepin Padilla Miamis down here in Boca. Really good cigar, might even say better than the 1932. Aurora 107 - really solid cigar, complex, balanced, good construction Hammer 46 - Started off meh, ended really well. Great cigar, but I dont know about 35-45 for it. Still very special.

I didn't see this post earlier for some reason. I haven't found a Dupont I like yet, but I'm still on the prowl. I have a couple more things that are higher priority right now, but the Dupont's on the short list.

If I do get a Dupont, I'll have to look at them in person to figure out the actual difference between the ligne 2, d, 8, gatsby, etc. and see which I like the best. I have time, and I would like to "earn" that purchase... Maybe when I get my med school acceptance letter this summer/fall.

You guys'll be the first to know when I kop. I should space out the baller cigar-related purchases though. Not quite at jet's level of steeze yet.

Also, pics will be posted when the Rimowa arrives.

fcuknu, what do you use to take pics of your cigars? Parents got me a Canon S95 this past month, but it's too much of a hassle to bring a camera around with me everywhere, even if it's a P&S. Also, I'm glad you like the 109. My friend's first cigar was a La Aurora Preferidos Gold tube, and he loves Auroras. I'm usually the one in my smoking circle that's on top of cigar releases and news, and he came at me about the 109... I'm sure it'll land in these parts some time soon.
