Cigars - Page 714

Overcharged my humi a bit, before leaving on vacation. Everything's fine, but should have pulled this out yesterday to dry. Didn't know I was gonna light up, but after a nice long day at the beach, rum rocks and a cc just sounded too good. Delicious, but tough draw to start. Seems to be getting better now.

Glad it cleared up for you. I had a Roma Craft Intemperance BA Petito last night. Fantastic, full bodied smoke. 4" x 46 little guy lasted an hour and produced some huge flavors with fun transitions. Great little firecracker.

First try on this young Partagas Lusitania.Really good from the off-2nd ever DC I've ever tried and this one is cab worthy (which is what I feared).Trouble is I'm not sure I'll ever have the time in future to commit to smoking these as I'm expecting my first born within weeks!

Congrats bro, you definitely won't be having any time to smoke but all the more reason to get them so you can age them. I have a fantastic box (at least what's left) of lusis but I have no problem smoking DCs in general when I'm at work lmao.

I couldn't muster up the courage to burn my only Cohiba Piramides although it was scheduled for this weekend 😜
Settled for the trusted 898

Nice Torsion! Enjoying a Cohiba Siglo II (circa 2010/11 I believe), with a Cuba Libre of Flor de Cana 4yo, Mexi Coke and Flor de Cana 15yo floater, on the back deck myself. I know tubos are generally not preferred, but this was from a box I purchased as gifts for a buddy's wedding.

This is entirely correct; in fact, many of the Monsdales that were smoked well before Enrique died were also rolled by Jorge.

I've met him. Great guy. One of the few rollers to roll in an entubulares style in some of his cigars. Great talent. The apprentice, in many respects, has become the master -- and he's young so he has (hopefully) many years of rolling ahead.

I've had some great cigars since I last posted, but I think the one that stood out the most was a surprise: Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill tubo. Incredibly well rolled. Incredibly smooth and approachable. No known box code, but they were purchased a year ago. Grew in strength at the last 1/3, providing the full spectrum of rich / integrated / creamy / absolutely no touch of harshness, building in a slow crescendo to fully formed increasing power ... a cigar of immense beauty.

I'm tempted to seek these out but suspect there can be nothing but disappointment when compared to my experience. Yes, it was with a good and old friend which made it all the better – but the cigar was so epic, I can't begin to imagine encountering another as well blended and rolled as the one I had. Phenomenal!

My Father No 4? I haven't gotten my hands on any of the lanceros but the Robusto I smoked was excellent.

I received a nice sampler of CC's from a BOTL, I need to ask him if he still has the box codes for the sticks in there. A lot of solid stuff; will post a pic when I get home.

I also have a box split of H Upman Mag 46's on the way.

Smoked a Caldwell Eastern Standard Marble House the other day that was really tight, despite massaging it, and I had to fight the burn line constantly. Very disappointed in the smoke as the first three I had from the box were excellent. I would have pitched it but I wasn't near my apartment at the time to grab another smoke.
