Had a rass yesterday and a really firm rascc.

Had a Trini 40th I had been saving for years finally to celebrate something that's been a long time coming. Humidity is a little low (mid 50s %) but the cigar smoked like a champion.

Also, what's smoking well right now? The tip earlier (@jet) about the Montecarlos was completely on point, and those are smoking incredibly right now. Anything else smoking like that right now? Going to order a few more boxes this month, just thought I'd ask.

@saint eBay probably is the primary market, but certainly couldn't hurt to list on B&S. Never know.

Trini 40th's are superb cigars, Krish! Ravi still has AME '13 Hoyo Epi Especial tubos, same factory (la Corona) as those PL Montecarlos I think you probably grabbed.

First last night PL Montecarlos. Slightly tighter draw than I'd normally like but by no means a tent peg, bloody tasty skinny. These really are so good for the price and I love the size.
Second was RASS - enjoyed it but the Montecarlos was the better of the two yesterday

From the holiday sampler put together by an outstanding BOTL @Girardian.This one has been resting since November and I decided to pull it out tonight just cause. The Bolivar Gold Medal-I didn't know much about this until maybe last year as I progressed with my learning and knowledge on CC,but it seems to be a favourite amongst enthusiasts (including me now!) and sadly another discontinued stick.Started off full but settled into medium body to my palate and not one to smoke on an empty stomach!Peppery from the go but smoothed out, rich, creamy and earthy Bolivar throughout.I only had the one so really appreciated the opportunity to try this so thanks Michael!

@Cravate_Noire How was the DPG Original? I have a few that have been resting. Chances are I'll be smoking something on my roof when I get home tonight.

I only just tried it, I still have several to confirm my impression - very nice, typically peppery Nicaragua. However, I smoke 90-95% Cuban!

@Cravate_Noir great to see you back in here, haven't seen your posts in a long time!

I actually smoked a DPG blue (original is what it's called but it's been the blue label long before they added the "ORIGINAL" second band) robusto today at my local shop. The robusto I had (very recent, in this week) smoked just like the ones of old. Like the ones I smoked 6-7 years ago. Fantastic.

Going to the Caymans next week for 10 days or so, going to pack a ton of PCs with me to smoke. And montecarlos, of course.

Very nice! Last night I had an EPC La Historia robusto (el senador) which apparently was Cigar Aficionado #2 of 2014. It was wonderfully complex cigar that included such a delicious barrage of flavors which shifted throughout. I'm glad that I have samples in every vitola including a box of the robustos.
