Frank Zappa Back when I was I was a young wayward lad of 14, I was down in the basement playing "Freakout" (no, the album). My mother came running down the stairs and threatened to break the album over my head. I've loved Frank ever since. Nobody plays like Frankie, nobody.

I did a gig with Derek once. Very humble and gracious guy. He was one of the few improvisers open to computers and electronics taking the stage alongside traditional instrumentation. He liked DnB early on.

I thought Eddie Van Halen was just some butt rocker until I heard the Eruption Guitar solo. A truly talented musician
