Are there any free auction snipers? - Page 2

Thread Starter
I have subscriped to powersnipe.com and have been quite satisfied so far. I don't need to have my pc on or anything else. But i have been wondering if i could have the same service for free.

From what i gather though the free sites / programmes (and correct me if i am wrong):

a) have ads
b) have limited snipes
c) need you to have your pc on

So, basically you can't get a decent snipe service for free eh?

The best free one I've found is esnipe.com. really easy to use.

This is what led me to abandon JBidwatcher and go to Gixen. My computer developed some problems with the power supply and I missed several auctions I would have won (some fantastic bargains) because the computer went down in the middle of the night. I find using Gixen with the mirror site is pretty much fool-proof.

Gixen.com has worked wonderfully for me too. I use the free version.

Don't you have to buy credits or somesuch? I use it and have to buy more points periodically. It's cheap but not free, as far as I know.

GarageBuy for Mac lets you set up auction snipes. It doesn't do all the work for you, but it lets you create a script to bid on an item, as well as create an iCal event for when the auction ends. You just make the iCal event run the script, sit back, and check back when the auction is over.
