Retro Cell Phone.

I am looking for an appropriate car phone device in my car since an original '70s-'80s car phone won't work anymore because of the lack of analog cell-service. The only large-scale car phone made today which replicates the old look is suitable for European services, which is also unfortunate. However, there is this Hulger device, which is a mouthpiece and base that connects to an existing cell-phone--I think it would look nice and dated perched on the transmission tunnel of my car. They even have leather covered ones by Bill Amberg. Lizard-skin. http://www.hulger.com/

I considered the Chinese remake of that--which incorporates modern technology--but it appeared rather unconvincing as a device for the car.

When I have time I'd love to make a rotary phone that has a dock for your actual phone.

WIS,
Just out of curiosity what kind of car do you drive? That phone you posted looks like it belongs in a late-80s MB convertible or something.

I wish I could have a car where something like that is practical, but I don't so I hope to see pictures of the one you install

Are you calling me WIS? But yes, the car is an old Mercedes. That Cartel phone looks nice, but it appears to be Bluetooth.

That rotary phone would be useful for a '60s era car, which had rotary car-phones though you would need one of those giant phone antennas to match.

Is retro considered to be a buzzword?
