Are there any reputable online tailors/alterations?

Do you know of any reputable tailors online? Basically I send them all my measurements and a pic of how I want the fit, and based on that they do the work? I mail them my clothes and they return them tailored.

Do any of you have experience with this? Can you recommend me someone reputable? I am asking because I cannot find a quality tailor where I live.

No, there is no such thing as an online tailor. That's crazy talk.

If you have a garment that you want altered, I think you're probably much better off doing it in person rather than over the internet, that way the tailor can see how it fits and can identify and mark the exact alterations to make rather than guessing how you want it to fit from measurements.

Human beings patronize alterations tailors in person.

A tailor is not simply someone who is handy with a needle and thread. A tailor is another set of eyes.

There are also online tailors that will make you a suit from measurements that you supply, but the failures outnumber the successes. Again, the other set of eyes is everything.

I suggest you go to your local shopping center with "high end" stores and ask them where they get their suits tailored?

There are many online tailors, that make decent suits at very affordable prices.


When the internet technology is so developed as of today, there's nothing crazy about buying custom made suits online. It's just another one of the options that make our life easier and effective.

Check my store at www.anysuitcollection.com, you can design your own garments, choose your favorite fabrics and colors, deliver it to you. Simple is that.

I've been in sartorial business for quite a long time, and believe that anybody must be able to afford bespoke garments, because those are real clothes for men. And I'm glad that technology allows to make it happen.
