...are what, exactly?

I saw Radiohead on Monday and Kanye West on Tuesday. Both shows were amazing for very different reasons: Radiohead's long, varied setlist and simple setup, and Kanye's over-the-top lighting and special effects extravaganza.

I'm looking to catch Nine Inch Nails this summer, but Reznor's not going to even whiff Florida, it seems.

I like to see Robert Bradley whenever feasible. He can bring the house down.

Rage against the Machine. The most electrifying concert I've been too. Energy in the arena was off the charts.

Tough call. Either Elton John & Billy Joel or Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Steely Dan was ridiculous too.

David Murray. Front row seat about 5 ft from DM in a college in Rochester 89 or 90. Have seen the World Saxophone Quartet at the knitting factory on Houston in the 80s a few times. This show was exceptional. DM was in a trance blowing out incredible notes and sequences. The intensity, the passion. The seeming cacophony hid intricate patterns of texture which were reminiscent of an unending, complex and inviting labyrinth. Never have I experienced anything else like it.

Also GD Pittsburgh 89 or 90.

Stevie Wonder and the European Symphony Orchestra at the Zenith de Paris. I think it was 1992. Grandiose evening

Too many Phish concerts to list.

Otherwise, Stones at the Tower Theater in Philly, 15th row, a few years back. The Black Keys last summer at Bonnaroo. Danny Gatton at the Birchmere many years ago, which was one of my first concerts and one I'll remember for a while. Grateful Dead at the Cap Center in 1990.

I need to go back through my albums of ticket stubs, there are a lot that I'm not remembering very well.

The Toasters (in a really small venue).
I don't even do the ska thing much anymore, but that show is still my favorite.

I tried to go to that show, didn't get tickets. This was my first Radiohead concert.

I also forgot to mention the following:
Bloc Party, 2006 in Ft. Lauderdale
Justice, Ultra 2008 in Miami, amazing DJ set

I sort of have the same problem. The last four nights they played at Red Rocks stands out as a great run of shows I attended.

^ Red Rocks is pretty sick no matter who plays there, but Phish...

Still in recall mode on other shows that I've seen that I really enjoyed: Wilco, Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, the Darkness. I'm sure I'll think of more as the day goes on.

I'm going to see Chick Corea in June and I somehow sense that he will be near or at the top of my list.

Top one for me: Male or Female. Completely and utterly mesmerising.

Delerium (on the first and only tour they did) was great.

Combichrist had unbelievable energy.

Caught a performance/DJ set by Gavin King (aka Aphrodite) that was incredible, the whole place was going mental.
