"Stakeholders," "buy-in," "lean," and "event," are annoying me right now (especially when used improperly).

I also hate "on the one hand," and hybrid names.

Other things that annoy me that I would not classify as buzz-words: The use of contractions, and the verb 'to be,' in formal writing.

OK, how the hell do you avoid "to be" in formal writing? Or in any kind of writing?

Multicultural, diversity or any variation of that concept. This is especially tedious when it's associated with sub-par events that has mediocre inauthentic "ethnic" food, especially those held on the streets. "Minority" Pride.

I say paradigm, but it's ok, I'm taking it back. Kuhn got my back, homes.

You can make it work. I adopted the practice because a professor I had my freshman year in college would fail students for using 'is' and 'are' in our essays. Not that I did not disagree at first, but I ended up seeing a huge difference between how I originally wrote, and how I wrote after.

eh.
