Villa Milano cufflinks

Is anyone familiar with cufflinks from Gioelleria Villa in Milan (aka 'Villa Milano')? Their website has some absolutely beautiful stuff (in my opinion, at least), but everything's in Italian and there are no prices listed. The website is: www.villa.it/e_gemelli.php.

Here's a sampling:

I have a feeling they're not cheap . . .

Wow, very nice! I love the top four. They look like Trianon/Seaman Schepps lite.

I am not familiar with them. But I remember a thread at FNB(seems to be disappeared). They run around 2000 Euro.

Marvelous

Probably you can draw your IWC on them.

Looks like they are sold by many retailers:

Maybe I'll look for them when I am in Naples.

When you find out the exact prices, be sure to post them. The cufflinks are extremely beautiful.

Well, I'm in contact with a jeweler in Connecticut that carries them and can order specific styles. They told me the prices range between $1200 and $3000--but they're not sure. Let's see what they say when they call me back. I hope they're wrong!

Nope. Prices are Trianon-esque.

I keep saying, the Arfan boutiques in Paris are closing out their stocks of cufflinks at 40-60% off. They're either by SS or by Villa. Still insanely expensive, but only half as much.

^^^ Hmm, is there any chance Arfan will still be doing its closeout sale through September? Otherwise, it's not much of an option for me. Anyway, if we're really talking several thousand dollars for a pair of cufflinks, these are way out of my league--deeply discounted or not. Damn.

The links aren't moving, so they might still be around.

I think your sportcoats cost a lot more than anything I've ordered, so Seaman Schepps is quite likely wthin your means...

That is exactly what I was thinking when I saw them, which is why I was not particularly enamored with that pair.

I'm a lot more willing to shell out that kind of cash for sportcoats or suits than I am for a single pair of cufflinks. My most expensive pair doesn't exceed $300.

Anyway, I'm cheap about certain things. For example, I can't see myself ever buying a pair of bespoke shoes, as beuatiful as they can be. Most of my shoes are Alden, with a few RTW Lobbs thrown in--and I think I'm done buying Lobbs.

If I were to spend a few thousand bucks on a bauble, it would be a watch.

Shell and reverse calf Aldens are great, but I find that their soles have little purchase on the slippery slope that leads to...

...more and different shoes.

Doesn't Saks carry Villa Milano?

Oh, I know Aldens aren't even near the best. Lobbs and Edward Greens look much nicer to me--but not for the price. With Alden, I get a robustly-constructed shoe with real character. It's because AEs lack the latter that I can't see myself getting into them.

So says Villa's website, but I haven't mustered the will to brave Sak's phone maze to find out more.

The sad thing is that the chewed gum links are probably the best looking of the bunch - aside from the first pair.
