How are you guys going about paying the bills and making money in 2008?

Same old job or are you taking on new ventures to make some profit in the 2008?

Let's bounce some ideas off of each other and see what everybody is doing to make ends meet?

Me personally I run a clothing line and various internet sites and that is doing pretty well for me.

Looking to make some investments and get into some other things.

it is hard these days, USA i think has reached its bubble capacity as a super power , luxury , country. from here we are going down hill with rising prices on everything, housing /mortgage trouble, unemployment, rising health care costs, dollar getting weaker and other countries getting stronger.
i think it is just thankfulness just to be working and getting paid to get by. lucky we dont have a baby/child yet, or we would be really struggling

I definitely agree that is why I made this post, because it is hard to get by these days. Hopefully many people have been saving because businesses and households are cutting back on everything.

Its been hard for me to sell advertising on many of my sites compared to how easily I could do it in the past.

I have several ways I am making ends meet.

1) Recycling more.
2) Selling high, buying low.
3) When eating out, two words: Macaroni Special
4) Not adding to the polo pony stables.
5) Low water use shrubbery.
6) Wearing a suit more than once before disposing of it.
7) Keeping my eye on the prize.
8) Buying milk past the due date.

If you follow these precepts, even in this tough economic times, you should flourish.

Not to ruin this party, but I've never been able to bring myself to drink milk past the expiry date, even knowing that the diary industry standard is that the milk is good for about a week after the marked date. Completely irrational, but once that date is here, the milk tastes rancid to me.

You should go see our guy from Parsippany, either him, or the little guy from Yonkers.

just fyi in case you did not know, if your refrigerator is at the right temperature and door is completely sealed from outside, and your milk is kept in the carton closed,
if it has reached its expiration date or a few days after, it does smell of a little rancid, but give it a swirl.
the good milk is still underneath, the rancid smell is just the skim covering. take a whiff again you should not smell anything.

i think the rancid taste maybe more psychological, unless your fridge is not correct.

Always getting the neighbors wireless, or the hotels, or the surrounding businesses...

Get over yourself, dude. You know it's psychological, so conquer your fears.
