New high-end shoe store in NYC: Leffot - Page 4

The Sartorialist has posted about Leffot. Based on what he's photographed, it looks like the owners have chosen very, very well among the brands offered. Beautiful shoes.

I like how the twat goes to Indianapolis and doesn't take any pictures.

Sounds like Leffot is what the Bergdorf shoe section should be, although I'd gladly swap out Church's for C&J.

I live in Indianapolis, you didn't miss anything

I live 3 blocks from Leffot. I told my wife about the store. She looked concerned and then cut up my Amex.

Dropped in today. The selection is nice. The G&G sole is better than when I bought them during their initial release. The waist is just as good as my G&G bespoke. The Corthay is pretty interesting; more conservative than what I saw displayed at their store in Paris.

These stores are curious--I've rarely seen anyone wear Corthay/Lobb-grade shoes expect on this forum. Even the salespeople at these stores wear questionable things.

+1 I see that alot. You would think being in the business, at some point they could find some good deals

Interwebz say that they open at 11am on weekdays (http://www.timeout.com/newyork/venue.../15751/leffot). The owner is awesome, but the store is small, so be prepared to either do a VERY quick turn-and-burn or have a good convo. Great stuff!

It would have been interesting to see pics from Indy.

IMO, the shopping in Indy is very weak, especially for a city of its size. One is hard pressed to find a decent selection of classic or fashion clothing in any of its stores.

I agree. However, a few months back I was standing in line at Starbucks behind a very dapper guy wearing Lobbs. He looked sharp; rarely do I see this.
