If he is programed like Data and no chance of becoming Lore then maybe humanoid.

Fully functional, you mean?

I'd also like to note for the record that this was thread 1,000 in Fine Living.

Did anyone see the episode of Myth Busters where they set Grant up on the polygraph machine and grilled him about ever wanting to make a female robot?

I would need at least a somewhat human stylized robot. It'd be hard to get in the mood to try to have sex with it otherwise...

I'd also need one that looks cool so that when I copy it and try to take over the world the robots would look good.

My friend who was taking a Japanese class told me that to illustrate the use of one of the forms of politeness inflection that was used for speaking to a member of a much lower class than yourself, the examples addressed a robot servant. I found this terribly Japanese.

Do you believe in it, the uncanny valley? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlcoPEF6xEY That episode's genius was how it wove Amadeus with a porno video game. --Andre

an extremely loyal human servant would be a lot cooler.

Yes, please.

Somewhere between vaguely humanoid and non-humanoid. Functionality is important, and I don't think you can get the best functionality by trying to fit all those robotic features in a human looking thing.
