I'm looking for a flask. Under $100, please. What do you guys recommend?

How cheap? $15 at bed bath and beyond gets you a functional light one with an opening too small to be chuggable, but OK for pouring.

Yep, what are you looking for?

About $15 at Dick's Sporting Goods will get you a cheap stainless hip flask. I think 8 oz's.

I want something a little, eh, more refined. I don't want some cheaply made flasks. This should be something that you can gift to somebody, which, in this case, is myself. I want to keep it for a while.

Stainless? Glass? Undecided?

On one side, I'd like a glass one because it doesn't give the booze a metallic taste. On the other side, I don't want to accidentally sit on a glass flask. So, do they make acrylic flasks? Hmmm....

$100 can buy you a very nice sterling art deco/nouveau flask on eBay.

It looks nice, I just wish they have the rectangular one. I'm not feeling the circular flasks right now.

Have you thought about finding an empty flask shaped Jack Daniels bottle and decorating it yourself? You could easily cover it in your favorite cloth using Elmers glue, the fabric could even be from a suit of yours that no longer fits or is damage; this could be a great way to still use an old garment that has sentimental value.

I've been looking at flasks recently. Here are a couple I like...

Orvis Mallard 6 Ounce

6 Ounce Pewter

8 Ounce Steel / Leather

5 Ounce Pewter

6 Ounce Pewter

4 Ounce Steel

P.S. Is there a reason not to get a pewter flask? Is a stainless steel flask better?

Thanks. I ended up buying this yesterday on an impulse.
