Prada Shoes on Bluefly

http://www.bluefly.com/pages....uct+ID# I know the quality of Prada is iffy at best and the price is still too much but to me, these shoes looks more like monk straps then a loafer as stated in the description. These shoes would look great with a pair of slim flat fronts but it boggles me to think they are loafers when they obviously look more like monk straps? Am I blind or am I right?

They're candy-ass monk straps. I do like the Moreschis just below it, however.

Now, now, Mr. April.

One could make a tenable, if unpersuasive, argument that monkstraps are a sub-category of loafer. They are laceless, after all. This was probably the thought of the bluefly employee writing the description.

I saw a description of some shoe online yesterday as a "lace-up loafer". There's also the recent "Cashmere lined" Polo coat and the "Cordovan calfskin" Polo shoes. Caveat internet emptor.

I've always considered the monk to be its own category of shoe, but if I was to place it in a different category, I would definitely call it a loafer. Prada shoes aren't good quality compared to Green or Vass, but they're not bad by any means. I would consider the quality 8/10 at best and 5/10 at worst. I think the quality is far better than the RL shoes I have tried on (aside from the C&J's of course).

If these shoes drop down, I might pick up a pair. They look quite nice in my eyes.

They'll be 20% off tomorrow, and tack a coupon on top of that, you can probably get them to under $250. Dan

Those shoes are not fashion forward or solid. You could spend $50 and get shoes that look the same and are probably the same quality.

exactly. Not solid enough for my liking. They look too cheap.
