Hi, I'm looking for sizing information for the Californians.

My waist measure 33. I've got a 33 in the Momotaro 0701 and after soaking they fit quite nicely.

What size should I go for with the Californians? 

I've only seen 32 and 34 available?

According to the MF site the sizing is so that it's correct after soaking, so 32 might be too tight and 34 too wide.

I guess if I just soak quickly and cold 32 might be ok. 
Or I hot soak the 34 and perhaps for this cut a bit wider might be better, anyways.

Advice on this would be very helpful.

And does anyone know the difference between the older Lot 54 Californians and the upcoming 44?

ive also got a 33 waist and i got a size 31 on the 54 cali, which measured 32 raw, just because that was the only size left at selfedge. i can still wear it, tho the waist was really tight after one 10 min cold soak. it has stretched since but not by much, its still snug but wearable (waist measures around 32.5 now). the cut is already quite wide on me, but im a smallish asian dude. i reckon u shd be fine with a 32. 34 might be too wide all over? btw, the good thing with the 31 was that i has shorter inseam than the 32 above. good for my short legs.

Yes, everybody's different, so it'd best to try things on, but difficult with these rare goods.

32 sounds good then. I'll probably not do the hot soak thing then, but wear them in the bathtub.

Just an update.I got the Lot 54 Californians in 32, cold soaked them and they fit very nicely. I'm very happy with the fit and all the details.

I know it's probably a long shot but anyone know where I could find a pair of MF shore shorts in a 36?

i've been drooling over shots of the deck jacket for a year or so and keeping an eye on ebay and now they're back in at Self Edge. Very close to pulling the trigger but, seeing that I live in Boston, can't very well try it on first. I'm 6'1" 230lbs and I think, based on the measurements I should be looking at a 44 (broad shoulders normally dictates what size I buy. Any advice or folks looking to be rid of theirs for less than $870?
