"There are 20 Purple Label Suits ..."

I would be very careful with the sizing of these suits.. they are being sold as a 38L, but the sizing is very strange, and are not really a size 38, more of a butchered 40L. Great deals (maybe) if they fit (maybe)...

Caveat Emptor, as always...

I think the best option for the OP, as stated above, is to get out there and try stuff on. If you are not familiar with your sizing, and what brand/style you want, you really are best off going out and trying on numerous options, and save the eBay shopping for when you have a better idea of what works for your body type. Buying on eBay without knowing exactly what you want/need is a baaad idea, imo.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping people would just tell me which brand has cuts that fits skinny guys the best, but it might be a good idea to just go out and try em on myself haha...

Definetly, just keep in mind, what you can actually get for $500 compaired to what retails for $500

You'll get a much better idea of what you like after trying a few suits on.

My suggestion is to go to a Ralph Lauren store, (not an outlet store, and not the RL section of a department store in the mall), and try on Polo and black label.

I think you'll be impressed with what you find, and i think you'll be even happier when you find a similar suit on here or ebay.

"There are 20 Purple Label Suits and Blazers in this collection in my store

They were Custom Tailored for one of my clients, who is more a sz 38 R, but they are marked 40L

He never wore them, and they are brand new, most with tags, unhemed pants

He has a very narrow waist tailored in the Jackets , so I will include the waist measurment in the jackets

in New Excellent condition"

Good luck with Ralph Lauren sizing and fit.
Just look at the shoulder measurements of these suits on Ebay. According to Ralph if you are size US 38R your shoulders should be 19 1/2 ".
Pretty much everything Ralph Lauren makes (aside from PL) is baggy and a wrong size.

you could try theory. a friend of mine swears by them, and he's the typical skinny, hipster asian build.

+1 Theory is viewed as being way overpriced here which is somewhat true but is a great option on sale which they are now at the Theory store for 40% off. Not sure what's left but have them search there other stores if you see a suit you like that's not in your size. That's what I did and am very happy with the suit. They are the slimmest cut suits I've come across.

38R in Polo label, i run into 17.5"-18.5" shoulders depending on the cut.

The Black Label and Purple Label stuff that I've tried on seem trimly cut; perhaps it's a bit more variable with the Polo suits?

Black is slim cut, but keep in mind the shoulders are not.
