you can tie in the bracelet and its "meaning" or whatever in the letter, make it a bit more symbolic. Good luck!

there is probrably nothing that she can't get cheaper in india, except mass produced food products or very new to market accessories - I wouldn't disregard a package of coolaid and candy, maybe some very very new to market music, something like that.

I have a friend in india who makes pretty good money but he is crazy about tang, so I get him a can when i see him.

Wow, this really is a great idea!

She keeps a diary that she writes in daily so I think that would be the perfect, small gift. Thanks

This is such a good idea. Start feeding sugar to a woman you're considering a relationship with.

gift cetificate

Under no circumstance are you to send that girl a gift certificate. That is decidedly not cool, about a half-step above folding a twenty into the letter and writing "P.S. Buy something you like"

And I would be sure to include the koolaid as well. Since this gift isn't supposed to be some grand and powerful expression of undying love, what would be most appropriate is something that shows A) you were thinking of her, and B) you know the little things she likes. Sending any gift takes care of A, but it's getting B right that shows that you listen when she talks, notice things about her and remember them, etc.

So my recommendation is: Bracelet, Letter, Koolaid.

Love in a box... or a pouch

That's how I see it, people love to get everyday products they can't have at home. Give her a few packs of Kool Aid and a bracelet + hand written letter and you're golden. She'll drink your Kool aid, wear your bracelet and cherish your letter.

Haha, I thought the gift certificate suggestion was a joke...

Still not sure whether I'm going with the bracelet or diary, but I think I will throw in a packet of kool-aid just for fun along with the letter.

the leather journal sound perfect considering all the parameters and circumstance - find some great art paper or fabric with polka dots and line the inside front and back covers with it.

Kool-aid? Seriously?

You might as well get her an ashtray and smear some dog poop on it.

But seriously, the diary/journal idea is good.
