The original Hamilton Electrics were not quartz-regulated. They were regulated by the traditional old mechanical watch escapement; only the mainspring had been replaced by the electric parts/battery. The accutron movement came next, and then
quartz watches came into being.

Close. The Ventura has the fancy stepped and covered lugs. The watch on MIB
was the Pacer, which is almost the same except it has more traditional lugs.
In case anybody IS going to get a vintage Hamilton Electric, make sure to get one with the 505 movement, not the 500. The 500 was unreliable; it needed repair way too often and built up so much negative press that it, basically, was the death of the Hamilton Electrics despite the improvements in the 505.
