So many 38Rs on the board! I'll do my best next time.

In the meantime, I hope the other sizes on the board find something they like!

Esp. for all those 42L and 44L posters who lament never having a chance at a bargain, well, here's your chance!

I lament, and alas, will continue to... the 42L jacket at 31.25"L is too short!..blah

FYI: I'm a strong buyer for RLBlackLabel 42 L, esp blazers/sportcoats, but the jackets need to be at least 31.75"L, ideally 32.25"-32.75".

Regardless, thanks for selling RLBL, RLPL, etc. Great stuff.

The 42L is actually 31 3/8 inches in length, but I tend to round to the nearest quarter inch because cloth stretches so being over-precise can be self-defeating.

I don't think you'll find RL Black Label with a 32.5" approximate length, even in a Long. Black Label's cut is slightly shorter than Polo, reflecting it's slightly more modern heritage.

Please note: I measure from the BASE of the collar so if your listed requirement is from the TOP of the collar, this would be your size.

My numbers were referring from the base of the collar.

Right, the most I expect in a RLBL/PL 42L is 32" in length. Fortunately, Black Label's cut and button stance elongate the appearance of the torso. And, so long as my seat is covered, which 31.5" just barely accomplishes, [ I'm proportionately long legged so a little extra, .25" + looks best] I think top and bottom looks balanced enough. All other elements: quality, style, fit, etc. I like a lot.
