What socks with Denim?

Just curious, what kind/ color socks do you wear with jeans?

anything but white. i don't think men over age 12 should be wearing white socks unless they are playing sports.

i usually wear socks in black or navy, but i think i got a few pairs of light grey lying around as well. Oh well doesn't matter all my clothing is in the same color spectrum so no worry about mismatching.

I don't like to ever show sock when wearing jeans, so I wear short enough socks to not be visible with my boots, desert boots and high allstars, and go sockless with my purcells.

Depends on the shoes. White sneakers = white ankle socks. Anything dressy should be any other color.

i wear white socks. i have a few pairs of black socks because i have a pair of black converse with air holes in the side, and that wouldn't look good with white showing through.

is someone going to start a thread about what color underwear we like to wear with our jeans?

If you're wearing jeans you should match your socks to your shoes, so that there is no jarring color between the hem of your jeans and shoe. White socks are not acceptable unless you have white shoes or are at the gym.

So basically this poll is useless. You should not have one pair of socks for all outfits.

Which basically everyone does... so... I guess they're acceptable? FTB that was quite the contentious statement. I wear mostly black / brown socks unless I'm feeling a pattern, but white socks have their place (namely, with white shoes). So that seemed an odd one.
