For more mainstream or easy-to-find stuff, Valhrona is a fine chocolate. If they're adventurous people, you can get them a small box of truffles from Vosges. They have 4-piece boxes for 10.50, so one or two of those in interesting flavors would be a neat gift for a couple that were up for trying new foods.
