Mysterious Nudie Washes

Thread Starter
So I went to the official Nudies website and looked at their collection, and it seems like there are a lot of washes made that stores don't carry. My question is: how exactly would I go about getting some of these washes?

my stepmom takes it upon herself to send shit to me a couple of times a year. she sent some average joe "light shiny gray" a few weeks ago. i've yet to see it anywhere online other than the nudie site, and they look absouletely nothing like the web pics. lucked out on that one since she usually sends weird shit and had no idea i wear nudies.... she picked them up at a store in aspen.

A bit off topic, but my Nudie coat doesn't exist as far as the internet is concerned.

Was that the official description on the tag or just your description?

There were some cool ones that I saw before, straight sven copper or something and there was another one that had iron in the name that looked pretty neat.

Someone posted pictures of some faded ones on that mynudies forum/site. They looked pretty good, and they lost the oranginess of them that kept me away when I first saw them in person.

straight off the tag. i had to check because it was such a different looking wash. i thought it was blue at first. the grey is very subtle and the jeans look incredible with black or white shirts. i've seen bootcut olas online in the same wash. they look a lot closer in color than the ones on the nudie site, which are much more distressed. here are the olas: http://www.revolveclothing.com/Displ...udie+Jeans&d=b i sent them back because it was the wrong inseam and they had to special order a new pair. i'll post them as soon as they get here, which should be any day now.

I'm kind of annoyed they started making SJ in dry ecru embo... oh well. That is the coolest "wash" Nudie makes IMO. Their coated jeans are cool too though.

I took a quick glance at the thread but only saw someone mentioning how bulletproof the dye was compared to regular indigo. I'll see if I can't dig it up.

You guys realize that Nudie produces their most popular cuts in between 20 and 35 washes / types of denim PER SEASON?
The Slim Jim is available to stores in something crazy like almost 40 different fabrics. I always found that totally insane...

That seems like it would be bad for business - to produce that many variations on what is basically the same thing. Changing the loom settings, dye mixtures, etc... Sounds expensive. I wonder how many pairs they sell per year.
