Filene's Basement

If anybody in the D.C. area is interested, went to the one next to Burberry today and they had lots of Oxxford Clothes suits. Two racks full. Just wanted to let you know if you're interested. Some nice patterns.

This is the Conneticut Ave store I assume. Other than the Burberry anything of interest in the area, is it more worthwhile than Mazza Galleria (the Filene's sure sounds better).

Yeah, I stopped at the one you referred to, in Chevy Chase, and it had the most piss poor selection I have ever seen. The store on Connecticut had a nice selection of Oxxford, two racks full, as well as a rack or two of Corneliani and Canali. The Oxxfords were priced at $995, minus an additional $200 with the current sale, and the Cornelianis and Canalis were $795, also with an additional $200 reduction.

The Connecticut Avenue location is consistently good, the Mazza Gallerie location is more hit or miss.  Those Oxxford suits have been at Connecticut Avenue for a long time; I doubt there are many takers even at the sales price of $799. If you want to get a good idea of what FB's DC stores carry, take a look at the auctions of eBay seller flyerdc.  Everything in size 40 that he/she is selling I have seen at either Connecticut Avenue or Mazza Gallerie.
