Which way do you part your hair?

From what I can gather from pictures, classic film icons such as Cary Grant, Gary Cooper and Gregory Peck all generally parted their hair on the right.

This study in 1999 suggested the way your hair was parted drew unconscious attention to either femininity or masculinity based on the corresponding directions.

Since I would consider the three above to be icons of masculinity rather than femininity, I have a bit of trouble believing the study but thought it interesting nonetheless.

Which way do you part yours?

I think Gary Cooper mixed it up.

I don't part anymore. I think I read once that it had more to do with whether your mom was right- or left- handed, because that affected the part you had as a kid, which you then kept the rest of your life.

I don't part my hair any more, but when I did I parted it on my left side and combed it to the right, simply because of a cowlick. Parting it on the other side would have been very difficult.

He asked which way the part goes, not which side of your head the part is on.

My part is on left side (my left) of my face, but the part goes to the right.

If I have a hairstyle where a "part" of some kind of possible, I'll go either left or right depending on whichever works best. When you use wax in your hair, it depends on which side you initially smooth down, because then you want to go the other way.

combover is gaining popularity really quickly. It's just not a super greased-down slick weirdo office guy style combover anymore.

To the left, though sometimes I do it to the right just to keep people guessing.

do you mean the part is on the right or goes to the right? I part on the left, but i'm not sure how to answer the poll.

Hair is a #1 all over now.

Used to be parted to the left when it was long enough to be parted.

Parted down the middle for awhile when it was 1-2ft long.

No one really parts their hair anymore except a few random dorks still stuck in the 90's. People like...

I part my hair on the right, mostly because of a cowlick. Interesting article. My hair is longer now, so I might try parting on the other side.

My bet: I will notice no difference in the way people interact with me.
