It depends on the circumstances but unfortunately most veneers are not covered by dental insurance. It's worth finding out and your case particular case might be covered, I'm just saying don't get your hopes up.

I've had them for years without problems. It's not biting down on food that you have to be wary of, it's just that weird shearing when you bite into a whole apple and kind of pull down on it with your teeth. That's the only limitation I've had since I got my veneers years ago, and they're worth every penny. My dentist was able to really change the size and shape of the teeth with the veneers and I'm quite happy with them. Hoping to get a good 10 years out of them.
