Baldness - Page 5

Hmmmmm. Three baldness threads near the top of BC. And the hairy knuckle, hairy nipple and chest hair grooming threads fresh in the memory. I suggest merging the threads.

i have to agree, i'm desperately trying to get advice on some hairloss products and can't choose where to post.

perhaps combine them into a hairloss treatment thread?

^embrace your baldness. God created only a very few perfect heads. The rest he covered with hair.

Couldn't disagree more. The balance of no hair on top, and some hair on your face / chin - makes all the difference.

Unless of course you are going for the Curly Howard look.

As long as we're necroposting here, I have to say that grafting my pubes onto my head has really improved my sex life. The ladies totally dig my mini fro.

Wow that was awesome... did you just make that up?

And... yeah i'm totally thinning up top and getting a receding hair line up the sides... it looks like i have a reverse mohawk in the right light haha

I used to have my hair short on the sides and top with long bangs i swooped over my face... for years. Now it's leaving me. Meh.

I've been cutting it short for maybe 6 months now... like half an inch to an inch short.

Considering going shorter.

Does rogaine and all that really work? It just makes you keep the hair you already have right? Prob too late in my case.

Rogaine will help you regrow, but it falls out almost right away after you discontinue use. I used Propecia on and off for about two years. Never regrew any hair, but it soothed my paranoia about a high forehead coupled with a widow's peak.

I've considered going back on it, since I think my hair's thinning a bit on top. I've been doing the shaggy look for a couple years. Considering buzzing it close just because I'm tired of constantly worrying whether the wind or other elements have put my hair into a Butch Patrick style.

When i buzzed my head for the first time after it started falling out i no longer felt paranoid that i was rocking the beginnings of a comb over and it felt strangely free... it was nice being able to drive around in my car with the windows down not worrying about the wind making me look like a retard.

It feels nice having buzzed hair, i just miss being able to style it and work it into my wardrobe for the day and shit... nowadays i dont even look at the top of my head when i'm getting dressed.

I have to constantly use rogaine to keep the hair it regrows? Screw that... i'm not that lazy, i just dont wanna be a slave to expensive product. Hell no.

I'll just wait until they invent a magic pill/shot/etc :P

Propecia seems to be the best bet for people who are just starting to thin out. You can find the generic kind online for a lot cheaper than the name-brand kind. It'll still add up to thousands of dollars over the course of time if you stick with it.

I've been paranoid about my hair for probably five or six years. My aforementioned high forehead and widow's peak created the illusion that I was receding in high school. I got so worried about it that I started keeping measurements to make sure any further receding was just in my mind. I just came across the saved word doc from three years ago and just for kicks, took the measurements again. Nothing's changed in three years.

Hair restoration is also something I considered. I've balked due to continuing advances in the practice, cost, and the donor scar you'll need to carry for the rest of your life.

The buzzed hair is sound better and better.

Buzz it down anywhere from a 1 to a 1 1/2 guard. Or...shave it off totally! You will love the low maintenance feel!
