Laugh it up, boys. No double entendre intended.
One thing I really enjoy about getting a haircut is the scalp massage I get when my hair is being shampooed/conditioned. It is really relaxing and just feels amazing in general. I never really pamper myself with spas or the such, but this is something I would definitely pay for.
Now, I understand I can go to any spa in NYC and ask for some kind of head or scalp massage. In this thread, I want to see if any of you know of a place that does this well and does this affordably. I do not care about being pampered and I do not care about ambiance. In other words, if you know a really good place for something like this and it is in a dingy Korean massage parlor that offers illegal services on the side, I don't care - I'll still go as long as it is good and affordable. I basically want to be paying for the massage and not for anything extraneous. An analogy with a restaurant would be a cramped hole in the wall with ugly waitresses and bad decor, but excellent food.
All this being said, if you have to go to a high-end place to get a decent massage, that's fine too.
