Change in B&S: A Trend or Permanent Shift?

Over the past few months I've noticed a profound shift in the items for sale on this forum. Whereas I typically read through the items for sale with my mouth agape, often wondering why I couldn't have size 9 feet and wear a 40R suit, I now go from top to bottom of the page, oftentimes not even recognizing the brands, descriptions or items for sale. It looks like much of what is offered here that I do not recoginze is composed of sneakers, jeans, or sweatshirts or such, but there are numerous other items (and entire categories of items) that do not interest me in the least. Is it me, or are the offerings on B&S moving distinctly away from the Oxxford, RLPL, classic-type clothing toward other kinds of goods, at least in terms of percentages? I realize that this forum is not intended to please me, or those like me (read old guys), so please, do not read a judgmental element into this post. Things change, and if that is in fact the case I'm old enough to accept that fact and move on. I simply am wondering if my observations are on or off the mark.

So do I, but that probably won't happen anytime soon.

Edit: seriously, others have noticed that too. Dry spells happen every year about this time, due in part to people's still waiting on their tax returns and retailers in transition between clothing seasons. This year probably more so than others, as the economy slows down and consumer confidence is at a low.

As far as the abundance of fashion-y and denim-related items, there may be a spike from superfuture users cross-posting since superfuture has been so up-and-down lately.

I also happen to agree with whoever suggested that there could be a WTB subforum--those threads occasionally clog up the front page, and some are really lame.

There is certainly a lot less interesting business wear coming up for sale, and at a lesser frequency. Its partly Ed but others seem to have taken off as well.

Selling off leftover scraps on ebay, will make an explosive B&S return in a month or so, I would expect to see a bunch of great stuff on the B&S as the summer sales season kicks off.

Have things going on at work that have precluded me from contributing to the forum.

Thanks for all the messages and funny posts about me. Still hoping to slurp spaghetti from that UCLA girl's nether regions.

I think it might just be related to sale seasons. I know that, if I'd had a bit more cash lying around I could have put some spectacular RL Polo and RLPL deals up around christmas because of the clearance out of the mansion. Now, not so much.

+1. As a free-market capitalist, I like to believe that the market will sort the crap from the good stuff and people will stop posting thriftstore rejects rather than waste their time and bandwidth but some of the stuff I see posted really makes me cringe and think WTF!?
