I don't get most beers that seem to be popular. I don't/ can't drink Coors, Bud, etc. Maybe MGD in a pinch and Heinekin is too overrated.

I think it's just time to move to Belgium.

Tecate is, and will always be, the best light Mexican beer for me (college nostalgia with this beer plays a role as well). Especially for the price. I like Modelo Especial as well.

It's just about the only light Mexican beer that doesn't need a lime to make it taste decent (Sol, Corona, Carta Blanca, etc are pretty awful on their own).

In terms of other Mexican beers, Negra Modelo and Dos Equis Amber are pleasant.

A guy from Mexico worked for me and told me nobody where he was from would drink Corona.

I am probably goign to eat at Xochimilco on Saturday night and will be throwing back several tecates or dos equis ambers. They have the best mexican food in Detroit.
