I don't get Corona

I don't understand why so many people love Corona. I think it it horrible. I have never tasted pee, but I imagine it tastes like a Corona. I have even heard that Corona puts a small amount of pee into each batch to get the taste. It seems to be the summer drink for every frat guy. It is the worst Mexican beer by far and one of the worst I have ever tasted. Does anyone else agree with me or am I off base here? I do think their ads are somewhat clever.

People like the marketing. A similar but better beer is Dos Equis.

I thought Corona was a decent beer, then I had it without a lime once and it tasted like what I'd imagine pee would taste like. Dos Equis is much better!

I like it just fine with a lime. Nice and light during hot weather. If you want to be hardcore though, you gotta buy the Tecate in the 48 packs from 7-11.

Well, at least it's better than Sol... I made the mistake of staying in an all-inclusive resort in Mexico once, and that was the only beer they had.

I like Tecate myself. Looking forward to having a few with some steak fajitas at Xochimilco next time I make it home.

No. Corona is absolutely horrible. I refuse to drink it, which is saying a lot considering I'll drink garbage like Milwaukee's Best/Natty Light/etc. if it's all that's around.

I like both Corona and Pacifico because they are light and refreshing to drink on a hot and/or humid day. Add a few drops of fresh lime juice and all the better.

I do like the heavier, darker mexican beers but with spicy food. Corona and Pacifico are for around the pool or at the beach.

I like Corona because it's cheap, light, and found at nearly every bar. There is actually a knockoff brand that tastes very similar, it's called Land Shark. It's been very big here and has really hurt sales of corona because of it's heavy marketing and cheap prices.

I was at a conference this week and someone was buying rounds of Landshark. Never heard of it before but it rather reminded me of Corona (which is not a compliment). However, he was a good guy. Then again, any vendor that buys me and a couple of old friends and fellow c-level types a nice steak dinner and drinks with us until 3am is a good guy
