You can rock them without socks for summer that's what I do...Lanvins are expensive as well and look more like typical sneakers to me. Like the lanvins you have to see them up close to appreciate the quality...

I saw someone rocking something like this several months ago...gives off a very over the top fashionista vibe...the only way I could see it working well is if the rest of the outfit manages to mute them
