The watch is certainly unusual and unlike what every other man is wearing, if that's important or, alternatively, doesn't concern you. I'm no watch expert (my sole watch is an Omega Seamaster), but I don't think it looks particularly appealing. It certainly doesn't look like a classic Patek consistent with their current ads -- "you never really own a Patek, you just maintain it for the next twelve generations" or something like that. It's a dated look -- the early 1970s is spot on. It's not ugly by any means, just different, IMO.
