I go to 4-6 buildings per day in manahattan, and few if any, require me to pull the id out, which i usually refuse. I don't want people handling my driver's license because it will get it dirty, or they will try to scan it into their machine, whose legality is questionable. All one needs to do is show their ID, nothing more is required. If that building wants to scan the info in, tough. If they won't let me in, screw them. I will complain to the tenant, who can then tell the mgmt company.

Whenever I get carded, I just flash my ID inside my wallet window. Never been asked to take it out.

I carry a Filson money clip/wallet. Six card slots and the wing in the middle for bills. I like it.

This one has been discussed in another thread or two on the forum, and I think it's pretty slick. We got one for my wife's brother as a gift - trying to convince him he's a big boy now and this is slightly more professionally acceptable than the Office Max binder clip he was using.

I really like that one.

Here is what I wound up with. Thanks for all the advice!
