I actually thought this was just another internet legend. But there are other people out there wearing suits like this. I remember graduating from middle school (comparable) and in those days people looked like this in a suit. Horrible days and most poeple never wore a suit again after that experience ;D The worst thing is that girls complemented the guys on their apparel ^_^

no, not wrinkled. The lapel roll, it rolls to finish at a point that's a good inch or two about the top button... It should sort of "roll" right to the button. Look at the WAYW pics, you'll see. It just needs to be pressed a bit.

Oh, I did that on purpose, to make the lapels look a little smaller.

I honestly think that if you had normal-sized tie knots and non-perfectly matching squares you'd be 80% of the way there.

As previously stated, I only do the matching squares when I dont have time to find a coordinating one.

I like the big knots. Love them, in fact. Not for everything. Next time I take pictures specifically for this forum I will do small knots. Everything I've posted recently have has been candid shots, or taken for other purposes, so the knots have represented what I was feeling that day.

Outrageously ugly? Giant and ostentatious? Cheap and gaudy? Which one is it?

I applaud your effort to improve and continue to post, but you have to, at some point, realize that the knots and the ties are probably the worst thing about your outfits. They're almost cartoonlike.

Just do it sometimes. Maybe on days off. Maybe just on your "take pictures for this forum" day.

I know some gigs have more-or-less unspoken requirements... I have photos way more ridiculous than anything you've posted here.

One would think, but from what I understand, shorts and flip-flops are quite common these days for Sunday church service. At least one church here (in Atlanta) specifically told me NOT to dress up, even in a blazer...
