Good luck with that man. Whats funny is that someday, if you ever decide to dress in a more sophisticated (sane) style, you will laugh harder at these pics than most of us are right now.

Congrats to the OP on posting up the pics as I am sure he knew he would come in for some flack on here! I for one really do not like the style at all but that is an opinion. As many have said he is making an effort to look good and taking pride in it which is more that can be said for the majority of men these days who just don't care at all. What I don't undertsand is this whole group acceptance issue. "Upscale Urban" what the hell is that when it's at home? I mean sure dress within a certain criteria but I am sure if Jay Z, Kanye or Common turned up to one of your gigs the group would not look down their noses at the style and say "they sure stick out". My point being I think that the whole "urban thing" for want of a better phrase can still look good without resorting to oversize and loud prints/stripes all the time.

what confuses me, is that on one end, you have this need to conform to your buddies, but on the other, you want to be noticed for being spectacular. Look up alot of the top guys in Rap, and they have tailor fitted and custom made clothing on, when they arent in their B-boy gear

At least he isn't the 40+ year old guy with thinning hair (I can say that, since I'm one too ) who I saw wearing a similar look yesterday.

It's also about how your pair your clothes. There is nothing that looks good about poorly-fitting tailored clothes. "Poor fit" and "tailored clothing" seems oxymoronic. I can see how you would pair looser fitting t-shirts, hoodies and jeans in a street wear look, but if you're going to wear sports coats and suits, they should be well-tailored, otherwise you'll appear inelegant and clownish.

Hey, I'd rather see a younger guy wearing this stuff instead of the usual basketball shorts and "Skate or die" t-shirts.

How can you possibly make the tie knot that large? Even with one of those ties for big/tall gentlemen, how could you possibly tie it that big?
