Used clothes market down?

So I've noticed for the past two or so months on eBay the used clothing market seems to have gone down drastically. A NWT pair of Earnest Sewn Fulton jeans in a 33 waist that I had listed sold for $10 last week. Sold the exact same pair about 6/7 months ago for $90. T&A shirts only have 5 watchers/no bids and they end Sunday, sold similar shirts that were up to atleast $20-$30 by now. I've been selling for about 4 years now and I've noticed a big change this year. Due to this, I've also been able to score some great deals. RLPL blazer for $40, some Isaia red labled dress shirts for $50/piece, etc. Anyone else noticed this too?

I have had a few great scores as of late on E-bay.
I am just watching, if no bids occur, I send a note and offer a price.
I have been pretty successful this way.

Not sure if it's down or not. But if so, I would guess a lot of clothes hounds are exhausted, financially, from the end of winter sales.

I listed a pair of NWT Valentini pants at .01 + 8 or so a few weeks ago that ended up with no bids at all. No bids is definitely better than one bid. They're with my tailor getting hemmed

Not just used -- clothing sales seem down across the board. I listed a NWT Marinella on eBay, nicely photographed, at $79 and drew 10 watchers but no bidders. People just aren't pulling the trigger like they did a few months ago. Stuff that would have sold easily then now just sits. Dunno if it's the time of year, the economy, or what. I'm used to some decrease in sales during the warmer months, but this seems an unusually sharp dropoff.

In the U.S. consumer confidence is at a significant low. People may be tightening belts.

My versace items have some bids (the shirt is at 35!) but my thread in the buysell hasnt gotten the love i though. I sold the items i thought i would be left with! Although 42L is pretty odd size, 150 for a canali blazer in great condition has had no interest

I do the same. It used to be better when the seller couldn't see how many people were watching, to snipe items early in the game. Still works sometimes, tho.

Yep, it seems that way to me too. I've adjusted my own little buying/selling forays to match, waiting for better purchase prices before trying to sell anything.

Oh well, hopefully it's just temporary and the market will pick up. Good items should sell eventually, one would hope!
