Thanks

Bumpy?

That probably means you still have clogged pores, or they are scares.

wash with warm water, rinse with cold. Use an antibacterial soap.

If you can exercise and get good sweat, that will flush out the clogged up pores.

If you have razorburn, try an aftershave cream that is for sensitive skin. dont use an alcohal based aftershave, use a cream.

And whatever you do, dont pop the pimples. that just irritates them and makes them look much worse and causes scarring/

see a dermatologist if it is really really bad

+1 to what iconoclasm said. Those have worked for me, and if you work out at all, make sure you wash+moisturize your face after the gym as well. I wash mine once in the morning, once after workout in the afternoon and once at night before I sleep since I have relatively oily skin.
I do have some bumps left though...planning to see a dermatologist once I get back to the west coast in a month to see what they can do.

Bumpy as in keloids?

I would suggest Mederma for scaring.

It'll go away by itself.

Alpha Hydrox makes a 12% glycolic acid cream that is excellent for increasing skin cell turnover (and thus speeding up recovery). But as with glycolic acid products, there is a good chance you'll suffer an initial breakout.

Dude, your acne is gone. Just wait it out before potentially giving yourself more problems.

just use warm water to wash your face. With that, it easily closes your open pores and prevents dirt form getting in.

Go to a dermatologist, getting medical advice via a forum about style probably isn't your best bet.

Hey, Go to acne.org, there's plenty of good advice there, just don't try out anything extreme, seeing a determatologist is your best bet as different treatments work for different people. If you've got red bumps you need to let these calm down on their own for at least a few months as your body will actually repair scarring for up to two years (I read that on the bio-oil website), your skin is amazing and will heal. Having a good diet will help, lots of fruit and veg, do some research into what vitamins and minerals are helpful to skin. If after a few years you still have red marks you can try creams etc. to even out your skin tone. If you have pitted acne scars, you need to see a dermatologist and he/she will recommend you the best course of action e.g. laser treatment, but that's a drastic measure and I wouldn't recommend for minor scarring. As for washing only with warm water, that's generally bad advice... acne isn't caused by a dirty a face but you still need to clean it properly to stop your pores getting clogged up by grease and dirt to avoid getting blackheads etc. Khiel's facial fuel gel cleanser is great, see if you can get a sampler to see if it agrees with your face, make sure you tone (removes excess cleanser and greast, I use Khiel's tea tree toner) and moisturise (REN make amazing moisturisers) afterwards. Stay out of the sun, use SPF on your face, getting a tan can hide red marks but when it fades they could look worse. One more thing... don't let it get on your nerves or bug you too much, it's amazing how skin responds to stress in some people. Tom.
