Yoox....the Final Price Cuts - Page 14

I just tried the BARCLAYS@YOOX code and it dropped 5% off my total.

Need advice on whether to get the 38 or 40, but I have no experience with Costume National.

I'm 5'11" 180 and wear a Valentino RED peacoat in a 40, a 38L H&M suit off the rack. The 40 would probably be loose enough to slip an extra layer underneath but hardly billowing, and the difference in the shoulders is negligible. Problem is my extra-long arms tend to make the sleeves on most 38 garments end about a half-inch north of my watch. (For further comparison, I returned a 50/40 Dries van Noten sportcoat that went all the way to the pad of my thumb -- wasn't totally digging the pattern and the working cuffs were going to cost too much to shorten the sleeves).

You weigh 180 and considering a 38 Costume National? Unless you're legs are disproportional deposits for fat or muscle get the 40. I don't know how you'd have any room to move otherwise, Costume National garments run generally fitted true to size or tad small. Plus your problem of arm length you usually have. But take my advice in perspective... some people on this forum like things caked to their body.

Thanks for the tip. It's a good deal, and if I take it, I'll probably move on the 40. I'm hesitating due to the arm length problem and the shipping/restock fees that I usually incur. I have rather simian appendages in proportion. Also, I was a fat kid growing up and have maintained the trunk-like calves by ditching my car in favor of walking and public transport.

The Drumohr sweaters on Yoox are quite nice.

The Verde@yoox code appears to be the best one out there.

I am 5'11" and 160 lbs, and a 48Eu in Costume National fits me perfectly, except in the arms. For you, I'd definitely recommend the 50Eu. Also, I have pretty long arms, and I still need to get an inch and a half to two inches off the sportsjackets (about 1"-1.5" off outerwear, if I am being anal.)
