Euro Looking Scooters

http://powersports.honda.com/scooter...ModelId=CHF508 I rented one of these while I was in Key West and LOVED it and want to buy one. I see a number of used ones around my area but would like a scooter that I can fit a woman on the back of. You think as long as she is skinny that she could fit or should I get one designed for 2 seating? All the 2 seaters I see so far look like undercooked rice rockets. After some more reading looks like the Yamaha Vino 125 might fit the bill: http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/pr...28/0/home.aspx

Come to Vietnam. It is the standard means of transportation here. If in the real world...buy an old school Lambretta or Vespa.

I say go vespa, dont fuck around with a shitty Metro or the new Vino 50s they are 4stroke and very very slow Oh, and just as a side note, my girlie and I have ridden together on my hopped up scooter (70cc, carb, pipe, intake, etc) and got around ok. Though our combined weight is only like 120kg

The thing about Vespas is that they are quite expensive to service. I will try out the Yamaha but the Honda met my needs just fine and it will never break.

Learn how to work on them. They are super super simple. Lots of hopup parts can be found online too.

Here is a 1979 Vespa going for $1800!!! I'd have to talk him down but looks big enough for 2 people. Okay, this guy wants $3000 for this one... uhhhhhh

yeah the first one is the hideously ugly PX model. The Italian made ones there were pretty reliable, when they outsourced them later (I believe mostly Taiwan, some Indian) there got to be some reliability concerns. The second one is niiice. Seats two easily, hell, has two seats

Was just going to say the new PX150's are gorgeous: Anyone had any experience with they Kymco's?

oh, and the new Vespas are pretty nice too. Why go Eurolooking when you can just get Euro?

of you want cheap, get a Bajaj Chetak (sp?) they were Indian built Vespas and sell for much less. If you go new, get a GTS, fuel injection FTW

Yup sic on Bajaj Chetak. They are pretty cool. I don't see any remotely closely on CL though there seems to be a reseller 7 blocks from me.

I don't see a price, but I like the styling.

I have a Metro. Would be great if it were faster but then I'd need a bigger engine = motorcycle endorsement, registration, insurance required. If you need to do those anyway in your state I'd get something bigger.

The ones with the bigger wheels usually won't fit a helmet under the seat. Keep that in mind. And vespas are STUPID expensive.

The Stella Scooters are also really nice.
