Yes, there are some limits I haven't pushed as of yet ... perhaps not even approached. But I do love to look.

But away from the interior and back to the shell ... I'm reminded of the sequined jackets in RA's windows last summer. I'll never forget standing there. Up to that point it had been a quiet Sunday ... but there I was ... my eyes shocked wide-open by what I was seeing ... my ears trying desperately to tune out the thump, thump, thump of nearby A&F. And if that weren't enough ... to get the skinny on them ... as I recall via you ... that was more than an interesting encounter!

Is Southern French architecture a 50/50 mixture of French and Southern elements?

The panels are Neoclassical ... so make that very late 18c. Of course, given my off-handed comment about Fragonard -- and there is no doubt as to his association with things Rococo -- I apologize for leading you astray.

Regading the mosaic ...

We found such a thing via a gallery specializing in Byzantine art ... a gallery that arranged a completely legal export of the piece ... including obtaining the approval of museum authorities.

As for the subject matter (someone asked via e-mail) ... it is more decorative than representational.

Of course; I haven't made any dubious claims, yet.

I didn't build this time of home, no. Wouldn't be proper for the area I live in -- while still keeping the charm --, anyways.
