Yeah... I use the standard Alden trees, which I can say definitely do not fill out the Trubalance last. To my knowledge, Alden doesn't make a lasted shoe tree...

I've seen a few examples of shoes that have gone through AE's recrafting. I'm curious, with all the great English shoes in the damage thread, have any of you sent your well worn footwear overseas for resoling or is it so cost prohibitive that you've used a local cobbler instead?

EG recraft cost close to 1/4 off original price. But its on original last and leather (outsole AND insole). A slight over dramatised example is this church recraft: http://www.wallpaper.com/fashion/chu...r-service/2450 I have had shoes resoled locally because I did not know anny better ...
