Thanks! Your plaza wingtips have been tempting me... but I'm trying not to let the shoe budget get too out of hand... for now...

My only pair of Dovers. Of my dress shoes, they've seen the most steady abuse.

Interestingly, I tried to start this same thread four years ago (have I been here that long?!) with almost zero interest. I'm glad to see it catching on now.

Here's an older pair of Polo 'Bench Made in England' captoes. I assume they're C&J, but are stitched aloft. I'm not sure how old they are, but for some reason I want to say 1980s.

I like them a lot and you seem to like flat laces .

Btw, I do not think that our taste in shoes differs so much. Cannot find your initial post.

This month's (august) Men's Ex has an entire section on this very subject.

Does anyone have any photos of some patent leather shoes with character?

Appaerntly so. I also think that most of the people here didn't have the same amount of shoes with character then. There's been a lot of shoe buying (and even some wearing) over the past four years.

I have some J&M Aristocraft pumps. I'll try to take a picture this evening.
