Tony Lutwyche bespoke tailor - Page 2

I went in to the shop just after Christmas and was very disappointed.

His RTW was £2K and his 'bespoke' was £3K
The fat dumpy salesman also baulked when I told him you could buy bespoke from Graham Browne and Sims for £1K. Note to fat, dumpy salesman, the editor of your website buys bespoke from Graham Browne!

His shoes weren't much better either. Nothing in the sale, I went round the corner to Cleverley's and picked up a pair of wholecut RTWs for half the price Lutwyche was selling his at!

Personally i will avoid like the plague!

Well it is kind of rude to walk into a store and say you could get something else cheaper somewhere else. No shit. I would have told you to just go there then.

I was merely browsing when said fat dumpy man asked me if he could help. Noticing the prices I politely asked him, as an expert professional, to differentiate his RTW and 'Bespoke' products between a bespoke product, costing significantly less, from elsewhere.

You call this rude, I prefer to call this common sense

Knowing the differences, I, the customer, can make an informed choice as to whether I spend my hard earned money on his merchendise.

Rather than explain the differences, as a professional expert should, he chose to baulk and belittle a competitors products, clearly showing his ignorance and lack of knowledge of the establishments and products. I find this behaviour very unprofessional. I don't spend my hard earned money at places like that

Did you tell Huntsman you can get cheaper suit anywhere on Savile Row?
A) I did not go into Huntsman
B) I did not TELL anybody anything
C) I have no problem in ASKING any professional expert about his/her product and ASKING him/her to diferentiate ANY aspect of that product from his/her competitors.

This way I become a more informed consumer. If a professional expert is unwilling or unable to do this then I will take my hard earned money to someone who will.

I know it might not be your problem. But can you tell how come a Burger King burger is more expensive than a MacDonald's one?

A. Why didn't you go into Huntsman, or indeed any other tailors that charge more than Lutwyche? B. Why are posting your experience with that fat salesman? C. I suppose nobody has a problem in that aspect.
